Man Robbed While Getting Into Vehicle At Shopping Center Parking Lot In Fairfield County

A man was robbed at a Fairfield County shopping center parking lot while getting into his vehicle.

The incident took place around 5:50 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 14, at the Thruway Shopping Center at 1233 E. Putnam Ave., in Greenwich, said Greenwich Police Captain Mark E. Zuccerella. 

According to Zuccerella, two Black men approached the victim when he was getting into his vehicle. The men exited their vehicle and cornered the victim, demanding the victim give them his property.

The victim was able to stall the suspects. The victim did have his cellphone and credit card taken by the suspects.

No one was physically hurt in this incident. 

The suspects mentioned a weapon, but none was displayed.

The suspects were described are described as being around 5-foot-7. A third suspect never exited the car. 

This incident took place in the parking lot south of the CVS, closer to E. Putnam Ave.
